Company Profile
Blakely Pacific is a tree growing company with its roots dating back to the mid 1800s. Environmental,
Social and Economic factors are what make up Blakely Pacific's triple bottom-line philosophy. We believe it
is these three cornerstone concepts that have contributed to our success in this renewable resource business.
Our primary objective is to return value to our investors through the development, management and harvesting
of renewable, fast growing tree farms. This is achieved by utilising our forests on a sustainable and long-term
basis, while minimising any adverse effects to the environment.
Well-managed forests can:
- Enhance water quality
- Stabilise and conserve soil
- Provide a buffer against flood flows during storms
- Shade waterways for fish life
- Enhance wildlife habitats
- Reduce greenhouse gases
- Provide recreational, economic and social benefits to the community
Blakely Pacific is committed to meeting the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) principles and criteria,
and the FSC standards of environmental management, including ecological, social and economic parameters.
Blakely Pacific's mission statement has been our guide throughout our ownership, from Bay of Plenty in the
North Island to the Gore District in the South Island.
